Australian government introduced AQF (Australian Qualification Framework) in 1995. AQF awards the certificates to the 10 different levels of education. Primary, secondary and tertiary education is divided into 10 levels starting from Certificate 1 to Doctorate.
Diploma (Level 5): Duration 1 to 2 years.
Bachelor’s (Level 7): Duration 3 to 4 years.
Bachelor’s Honours (Level 8): Duration 6 months to 1 year.
Master’s (Level 9): Duration 1 to 2 years.
Doctorate (Level 10): Duration 3 to 4 years.
Public Universities: Run by the Government of Australia.
Private Universities: Short term Courses/ Religious courses.

A student requires 144 credit scores (in 3 years) for Bachelor’s.
For Master’s, it is 96.

If you are planning to do a short term course of 6 to 12 weeks, you require a tourist visa. But for the courses of longer durations, you need an Australian Student Visa.
After getting selected by the University, you receive an offer of acceptance. You need to pay your tuition fee for the course.
Now, your Visa Process starts online after opening an account on the Australian Immigration Website.
All your documents should be in digital format to apply for a Sub class 500 Student Visa.
Fill your application form online mentioning your COE number and country code. Your application process may take up to 125 days. Therefore, you are advised to apply as early as possible.
Once your application process is finished, you need to pay the Visa fee of AUD 620 to get the TRN number.
In this step, you have to get your medical check- up done.
Prepare well for the Visa Interview and face the visa officer with oozing confidence. Get the Visa document and complete the travel preparation to fly to your dream country, Australia.
